Course Description: Plant and Fungal Biology provides an introduction to the diversity of organisms that may be categorized as plants or fungi with explorations of structure and function, genetics and evolution, ecology and conservation, and cultural and technological uses. This course is intended for students who want to gain scientific knowledge about plants and fungi and who may be pursuing careers in biology or agriculture.
Course Purpose: This course may be used to fulfill one of the general education lab science requirements in Life Sciences and can be used as an elective in the AA and AS degree programs.
